On 26 May each year, National Sorry Day marks the tabling of the Bringing them Home report in the Australian Parliament and commemorates Stolen Generations survivors.
For the first time, the Bringing them Home inquiry examined the truth of Australia’s Stolen Generations past, and its report shared this truth with the nation.
27 years on many of the report’s 54 recommendations have not been implemented,
or only partially implemented.
